A variation of the Stagnara brace, based on the Milwaukee brace. It was a brace originally constructed from Plexiglas.
Today it is constructed to a limited extent in some European countries, usually from polypropylene and duralumin rods.
Its basic advantage is the pressures at the hump areas with expansion segments. The pads can increase pressures and their derotation capabilities. It may be high for thoracic scoliosis or low for lumbar scoliosis.
The use of the Rigo – Cheneau brace limited its use even further in Europe.
